Your health and safety is our top priority! In light of the rapidly-changing public health situation, we are monitoring the news closely. Here is our current plan as of 3/16/2020:

Temporary Schedule

We will remain open to serve you. But to protect you and our staff, we will have shorter hours. Our temporary schedule will be:

Monday: 10am – 4pm
Tuesday: 10am – 4pm
Wednesday: 10am – 4pm
Thursday: 10am – 4pm
Friday: 10am – 2pm

Group classes like Mommy & Me, Mom & Dad’s Night Out, and Gift of Birth are suspended until further notice. We hope to have these classes up and running again soon.

If you have Earn While You Learn vouchers and need supplies, we are offering “drive-thru” shopping in the Stork’s Nest. To arrange this, please call us at 205-979-0302.

If you had an appointment scheduled that needs to be changed, our staff will contact you directly to reschedule it.

Other Safety Precautions

We are taking other steps to protect you, too:

Our cleaning service always uses commercial-grade products to remove germs and dirt from surfaces in the center. We are putting extra procedures in place to sanitize surfaces more frequently and thoroughly during the day, and provide a safe and hygienic environment.

We have hand sanitizer available for you in many locations in the center, including the front desk, the waiting area, the clinic desk, and the counseling rooms. We also encourage you to follow the CDC’s recommendations on handwashing procedures: to wash vigorously with warm water and soap for 10-20 seconds, and to use paper towels to turn off the water and open the door afterward.

There are women’s bathrooms on the first and second floor, and a men’s bathroom on the second floor that are open for you to use while you’re here. It’s important to note that the CDC encourages frequent and rigorous hand washing as the best way to protect yourself and others. Hand sanitizer is a supplement to washing with soap and water, not a substitute.

We love hugs under normal circumstances, but right now we need to be as hands-off as possible. We respect your personal space, and are happy with any greeting from a nod to a Spock salute. If you feel ill, or have had close contact with anyone who may be ill, please stay home.

We are taking this situation day by day and we’ll update our blog and social media when anything changes. Take care.
